1)  Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Resource Center
1 in 50 people in the United States live with some degree of paralysis. This is an excellent resource for many parents, care givers and newly paralyzed. Picking the right wheelchair is only part of the guidance that is provided by this organization.

2)  Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN)
This agency provides information, support and assistance to the parents of children with special needs helping other parents.

3)  National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD)
NCHPAD seeks to promote the health benefits that can be gotten from increased participation in all sorts of physical and social activities for people with a disability.

4)  National Spinal Cord Injury Association (NSCIA)
The NSCIA helps thousands of wheelchair users, veterans and people with other spinal cord injuries conquer the daily challenges of living with a disability.

5)  National Therapeutic Recreation Society (NRPA)
The National Therapeutic Recreation Society is a branch of the National Recreation and Park Association. It's primary purpose is to provide services to people with disabilities that focus on leisure and recreation.

This is an information center that focuses yet again on parent training for children and youth with disabilities from birth to age 21.

7)  Spina Bifida Association of America
This resource's mission is to promote the prevention first and then the enhancement of those already affected by spina bifida.
